Mr Wayne Higginson VI Degree Black Belt International Instructor / Examinar
Wayne Higginson is the Chief Instructor of Burbage Taekwon-Do Academy.
A practitioner in Taekwon-Do since 1979, throughout that time having the privilege of being taught by many of the greatest pioneers of TaeKwon-Do worldwide as it has evolved over the decades.
A major highlight within his progression was the three day seminar in Budapest, Hungary in 2001 by Grand Master General Choi Hong Hi IX Degree the founder of Taekwon-Do, grading for IV Degree International Instructor.
To the present day, teaching taekwon-Do full time also enjoy's competing and representing England Internationally. Recently holding World & European titles.
Colin Wells V Degree Black Belt International Instructor / Examinar
Mr Wells started training in Feb. 1981
Mrs. Maxene Higginson IV - ITF Degree Black Belt 1990-2011
Mrs Higginson is a senior full time Instructor
Health & Safety & Child Protection officer (BTA)
Administrator and Welfare representative for the Academy.
Senior TKD Warrior Instructor for the 5-7 yrs. A very rewarding position to hold the children are the future success of the Academy.
ITF England - Veteran Squad Member 09 /11 actively training with the squad in Reading.
Currently holding World and Europeen titles.

Mr Paul Hudson III Degree ITF Black Belt.
Paul started training at the Burbage Taekwondo Academy with his wife Julie, son Joe and daughter Faye in November 2003 under Mr Higginson 6th Degree. As a 1st Kup in June 2008 Paul attended instructor training course in Leicester led by Master Sohota 7th Degree. Paul gained his Black Belt 1st Degree with Joe in October 2007 assessed by Master Sahota 7th Degree in Leicester, at the same time receiving his assistant instructor certificate.
Mrs. Rebecca Allton I Degree ITF Black Belt.
Assistant Instructor Profile:
Rebecca Allton started training with Mr Wayne Higginson VI Degree in August 2007. During this time she has competed at tournaments on a regular basis and also taken part in local demonstrations, attended training courses and seminars.
Rebecca is an assistant instructor in the little warrior classes teaching our youngest members who are just starting their journey in Taekwon-Do.
Taekwon-Do is very much a family affair for Rebecca as her husband and three of her children also train at the Academy.
Mrs. Lyn Ryde I Degree ITF Black Belt.
Assistant Instructor Profile:
Started training in approx. 1993 at the age of 22 under Mr.C.Wells and attained Red Stripe (3rd Kup).
In 1995 took a career/child break.
Restarted training in Jan 2009 under Mr.W.Higginson and achieved black belt status on 31.10.10 graded by Master Sahota and Mr.W.Higginson in Leicester.
Attended an Instructors course in March 2011 with Master Sahota.
Since returning to training, I have competed in competitions and attended Black belt seminar, I also attend regular squad Training sessions with England ITF.
